Along with my weight/overall health there were a lot of lifestyle changes I wanted to make. Before changing my diet and physical activity level, I struggled with social anxiety, generalized anxiety, performance anxiety, and depression. From 2009-2016 I took a range of medications, along with gaining a lot of weight, eating poorly, and exercised minimally. Last October, I went to a Nutrionist. I started with completely changing my diet from highly processed foods to a MUCH MORE balanced, healthy, and whole diet. Then I started going to the gym. First, just on the weekends, then once or twice during the week. It slowly increased, I started cooking a lot more and buying more natural products. This past June, I finished all of my medications and stopped seeing my psychiatrist. I changed my diet completely and contribute stopping my medications with minimal side affects to my diet and my physical activity. I now exercise almost five times a week and eat completely different diet than I use to. Every positive piece of my life- physically, mentally, and emotionally I contribute to my eating and physical habits. It wasn’t always easy, but it has always been worth it.
